JLABS Biotech Incubator at MBC BioLabs in San Francisco

Our JLABS @ MBC BioLabs story:

Through a collaboration between Johnson & Johnson Innovation and the California Institute for Quantitative Biosciences, JLABS has an additional option for entrepreneurs in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Johnson & Johnson Innovation has a significant footprint within MBC BioLabs, a 24,000-square foot incubator space located in the hip Dogpatch neighborhood. Like all of our JLABS sites, JLABS @ MBC BioLabs has an open-innovation, no-strings-attached approach.

Entrepreneurial scientists and companies have access to MBC BioLabs resources, which include legal and business advisors, assistance in grant writing for federal Small Business Innovation Research funds, and access to lab space, high-end equipment and technology in University of California, San Francisco facilities.

JLABS @ MBC BioLabs houses life science companies who are developing promising solutions to address important unmet medical and consumer needs. Resident companies have access to value-added solutions including operational support, educational programs, business services and services management and direct access to mentoring by J&J experts to help entrepreneurs become more successful and focus on moving their science forward.

JLABS @ MBC includes opportunities for BLUE KNIGHT™ residency. Blue Knight is a  joint initiative between Johnson & Johnson Innovation – JLABS and the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA). The collaboration aims to stimulate the innovation and incubation of science and technologies that may improve health security and response by supporting  companies focused on public health threats and emerging infectious diseases.
