Mikyla Tuggle

Mikyla is the Innovation Activation Specialist for Johnson & Johnson Innovation, JLABS DC. In this role, she supports and builds the JLABS brand in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area through innovation community engagement, creating programs that foster the local entrepreneur ecosystem and through internal and external communications.

Coming to us from Live Nation Entertainment, Mikyla discovered her passion for content development and event management during her time at The Fillmore Silver Spring and The Warner Theatre where she managed logistics for the special events department. Mikyla was responsible for developing the theme, execution plan and team delegation plans for more than 60 events per year. While at Live Nation, some of her fondest memories include establishing a successful internship program with a 40% conversion rate, being appointed a lead on the creative content team, serving as the visual content lead for the venue and serving as a creative director for the venue’s first Open House in 2018.

Mikyla plays an active role in the DC community through serving as the Global Initiatives Lead for the Rho Mu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Howard University.
